Office of the Fire Marshal
MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Fire Marshal's Office to prevent and/or reduce the incidence of fire by increasing the awareness and knowledge of both the residents and businesses respecting fire safety and by ensuring compliance with the Connecticut Fire Safety Code and applicable regulations of the State of Connecticut. The mission will be accomplished through fire prevention education, compliance inspections and fire investigations. We will actively participate with our community, and strive to efficiently utilize all resources made available, to provide safety and excellent customer service to the citizens of the Bloomfield Center Fire District.
OFFICE
The Bloomfield Center Fire Marshal's Office is located at Fire Headquarters on 18 Wintonbury Avenue. The Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for all fire code enforcement, site plan review, building plan review, fire and life safety inspections, fire investigations, fire prevention and public fire safety education. The office is responsible for Open Burning Permits, Blasting Permits and in conjunction with the State of Connecticut, Fireworks Display and Special Effects Permits.

OFFICE HOURS
MONDAY THRU FRIDAY 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Fire Marshal Personnel are in and out of the office at all times during office hours. The best time to reach us is from 9am – 10am. If not, please leave a message on our voicemail system and we will return your call.
