The Bloomfield Fire Department has its own dispatch center which is staffed 24/7 by 3 full time and 6 part time dispatchers. The entire operation is overseen by members of the FACC (fire alarm communications committee) which consists of the chief, assistant chief, chairman, and supervisor. 

The dispatch center receives routine, emergency, and 911 calls and dispatches for both the Bloomfield Center and the Blue Hills Fire Districts. In 2008 we did a complete renovation of the dispatch center with a whole new look, new furniture, state of the art radio communications system, new cad software, and new telephone and recording system.

The dispatch center is open 24/7 and will assist you in every way possible. You may walk into Bloomfield Center Fire Department headquarters at 18 Wintonbury Avenue and be greeted by one of our professional dispatch staff.
